Economic Hardships: Women Leader Empowers 2,000 Women In Kogi Community
Following the current economic hardships in the country, no fewer than 2,000 women in Uhana and Akpogu commuties in Kogi have been empowered with cash and food items by the wife of the Account General of the state, Hajia Zainab Jibrin.
Hajia Zainab Jibrin while distributing the items during her visit to Uhana and Akpogu villages, said the gesture is in her spirit of extending support to the resilient women of the community.
She called for the unity and peaceful coexistence of the people of the area and urged them to continue to embark on active business activities that will shape their living conditions.
According to her “The event showcased the communities’ strength and determination to uplift the living standard of the people in the face of Nigeria’s challenges.
“Today, we are here to offer relief materials to help ease some of the burdens you carry, as a token of our gratitude.”
she urged them to ensure that they exercise their right to vote in the upcoming November 11, 2023 elections.
She emphasized, “You are the pillars of this community, and you have the potential to shape the future of our state and our nation.”
Hajia Zainab Jibrin used the occasion to introduce Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the APC gubernatorial candidate, as deeply committed to addressing challenges in healthcare, education, and youth employment.
She implored the audience to support and vote for him, stating, “When you cast your ballots on November 11, 2023, you will be casting a vote for a brighter future for your families and your community. Together, we can build a stronger, more prosperous Kogi State.”
She expressed gratitude to the people of Uhana and Akpogu villages, emphasizing the impact of their active participation in the upcoming election, and rallying the community for unity and determination to shape a better future for Kogi State.
