Ekinrin-Adde Day 2026: Mrs. Ogunleye Enters Omo-Atata Hall of Fame

The Ekinrin-Adde Community Development Association (EACDA) has announced that Mrs. Olabisi Ogunleye, the EACDA Women Leader, will receive the prestigious Omo-Atata Award.

This development was disclosed earlier this week by the EACDA Spokesperson, Pastor Emmanuel Ajibola Ogungbuyi.

The induction of Mrs. Olabisi Ogunleye into the Omo-Atata Hall of Fame will be a major highlight of the annual Ekinrin-Adde Day festival, taking place during the Awards-Night at the Ekinrin-Adde Multipurpose Event Center.

According to the statement, Mrs. Ogunleye has brought immense honor to the community through her outstanding leadership and impactful establishment of educational institutions.

Mrs. Olabisi Ogunleye is an educationist, counselor, entrepreneur, and community leader. Through education and enterprise, she has built institutions that have transformed lives and created opportunities for countless young people.

Born in the late 1960s into the respected family of late Pa. Stephen Medaiyese, the then Onore of Ekinrin, Mrs. Ogunleye has remained a worthy ambassador of the values of integrity, diligence, and purposeful leadership.

She began her educational journey at Baptist Primary School, Ekinrin-Adde, before proceeding to Baptist High School, Ekinrin-Adde, for her secondary education. She later attended Kwara State Polytechnic, where she earned a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Science Laboratory Technology. Driven by her passion for teaching and human development, she further obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), equipping herself for a lifelong career in education.

With over twenty-eight years of professional experience, she commenced her teaching career shortly after completing the National Youth Service Corps. As a young wife with remarkable determination and a clear vision, she combined her responsibilities as a classroom teacher with entrepreneurial pursuits, steadily laying the foundation for a dream that would later become a reality.

In 2001, inspired by a passion to make a greater impact, she resigned from government service to establish her own private school. The journey was far from easy, as she encountered numerous challenges along the way. However, through resilience, discipline, hard work, and unwavering faith in God, she overcame every obstacle.

Today, Mrs. Ogunleye is the Proprietor and Chief Executive Officer of two reputable private schools, where she provide quality education, mentorship, counseling, and moral guidance to hundreds of students. Under her visionary leadership, the schools have produced several successful graduates, while also nurturing disciplined students, competent teachers, skilled administrators, and future leaders.

Her commitment to educational excellence led to the expansion of her vision seven years ago, when she established a second branch of her school in her home state. She has continued to manage both institutions effectively, demonstrating exceptional administrative competence and dedication.

Mrs. Ogunleye is passionately committed to community development and humanitarian service. She has consistently championed initiatives that promote social development, women’s empowerment, youth mentorship, and grassroots progress. Her outstanding contributions have earned her the honour of serving as the EACDA Woman Leader.

She is happily married to Engr. J. A. Ogunleye, and together they are blessed with four children, all of whom are excelling in their various professional careers.
