Elulu Pronounces Kogi SSG as Yeye Oba of Mopa, FAIWO to Empower Mopa Widows
The Elulu of Mopa and Chairman Mopamuro Traditional Council, His Royal Majesty, Oba Muyiwa Ibeun, has pronounced the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Kogi State (Hon.) Mrs. Folashade Ayoade Arike Ph.D. as the Yeye Oba of Mopa land.
He made the pronouncement during the visit of the SSG to his personal residence in Mopa on Monday that she deserves to be awarded the first Chieftaincy award from him since he became the 4th Elulu of Mopa.
The SSG, earlier while addressing the entire Mopa Women, declared that her founded Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), the Folashade Ayoade Initiative for Women and Orphans (FAIWO) will empower 25 Mopa women in their coming outing.

The Elulu narrated that on May 15, 2024, His Excellency, Governor Usman Ododo appointed him as the Elulu of Mopa on 15th of May, and he was corronated traditionally on 17th of May, and that by the power conferred he pronounces the SSG as the Elulu of Mopa, and to take effect immediately.
He said the decision to pronounce her the Chieftaincy is due to her many strides in the civil service, public service, and philanthropy across Kogi State, Nigeria, and beyond.
He added that the pronouncement is a special one because it is the first Chieftaincy title he will be awarding since he became the Elulu and that it is also singularly and ahead of the ongoing plans by Mopa Traditional Council to pronounce and coronate all approved Chieftaincies requests in one day.
In acceptance, the SSG appreciates the Almighty God for the opportunity granted to her and for installing Oba Ibeun as the Elulu of Mopa.
She said ordinarily doesn’t receive Chieftaincy Title, but since it is coming from Oba Ibeun, she has accepted this. She promised to make the official coronation ceremony and elaborate one that would take Mopa people and everyone abreath.
She urges the people of Mopa, especially the women, to continually and fervently pray for the Elulu, as he remains the choice of God for the development of Mopa, Okunland, and he is a royalty to reckon with across the globe.
The Balogun of Mopa, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Chief Clarence Olafemi, while giving his remark attestated to the good deeds of the SSG as earlier mentioned by the host of the occasion, Hon. Elvis Oluwasegun Abereoran and others.
He said her good deeds and excellent proficience in her duty as the SSG awards her the first SSG to spend not only two tenures but to work with two Governors in Kogi State.
Speaking on behalf of the Women, Mrs. Alice Komolafe appreciated Elulu for using his influence and resources to bring infrastructural and human development to Mopa. She also appreciated the SSG for her benevolence and philanthropy to empower Mopa Women.
