Warri Agog As Hon Henry Aluya, Aide to Former Governor Okowa, Gave Out Daughter in Marriage

Warri, the oil-rich city in Delta State, was abuzz with celebrations on Saturday, October 12, 2024, as Hon. Henry Aluya, former Senior Special Assistant to ex-Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa on Intelligence Gathering, gave out his daughter, Miss Stella Ujiroghene Aluya, in marriage to Mr. Bright Onyedikachi from Abia State. The ceremony, held at Aluya’s residence at No. 1 UCC Close, off Deco Road, attracted dignitaries, family, friends, and well-wishers from across the country.
Representing the Delta State Governor, Hon. Prince Johnson Erijoh , the Chief of Staff, Delta State Government House Asaba delivered a heartfelt message to the newlyweds, advising them to put God at the center of their union.
The Governor Rep emphasized that a God-centered marriage will be resilient and able to withstand any challenge caused by external influence from society. His words of wisdom were met with resounding approval from the attendees, setting a positive tone for the ceremony.
Chief Owarienta George, a retired Management staff of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and CEO of Cane wood Hotels Limited served as the chairman of the wedding ceremony. In his address, Chief Owarienta George remarked on the sacredness of marriage, drawing attention to the biblical account of Jesus Christ’s first miracle, which took place at a wedding ceremony in Canaan.He prayed that the couple’s union would be fruitful and built on the fear of God, urging them to trust and remain prayerful in their journey together.
Another distinguished guest, Barr. Andrew Orugbo, the former Delta State Attorney General and current Chairman of the Delta State Polytechnic Board, Otefe Oghara, also offered advice to the couple. He cautioned the couple against allowing third-party interference in their marriage, stressing the importance of unity and mutual understanding.
Comrade Francis Obule, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Political Matters, who spoke from the side line noted the uniqueness of the marriage, highlighting the union between Mr. Bright Onyedikachi from Abia State and Miss Stella Aluya from Delta State as a symbol of national unity. Obule, who is married to an Igbo woman, celebrated the couple’s cross-cultural marriage as a representation of Nigeria’s unity, irrespective of ethnic origins. He expressed joy that his close friend Hon. Henry Aluya now shares a similar connection, with his daughter marrying into the Igbo community. Obule prayed for the couple’s marriage to be a continuous celebration, advancing from “glory to glory.”
The groom’s father, Elder Solomon Nwaguru, who led the team hailing from Isianagwa Local Government Area in Abia State, described the marriage as divinely ordained. He expressed his admiration for the Urhobo people, praising their rich cultural heritage, hospitality, and strong sense of magnanimity. Nwaguru spoke highly of Hon. Henry Aluya, describing him as noble and humble man Who is a delight to behold any time any day.He promised to return to Abia State with fond memories of his encounter with the Urhobo people, sharing their values and warm reception with his community back home in Abia State.
Evang Mrs Celina Aluya the Mother of the bride Who spoke with the Press said she cannot thank God enough for His wonderful love, care and protection over her family as she describe the marriage as the proof of the faithfulness of God towards those who put their trust upon Him.
Mrs. Bridget Nwaguru, mother of the groom, offered praises to God for His grace and blessings upon the couple, while several other notable figures at the event, including Pastor Usolo Uwomano of Word of Life Bible Church, Evang. Jonathan Agonokigho Joel, Mr. Samuel Egbu, Mr. Ifeanyi Nwaguru, the Senior brother of the groom and Hon. Ama Agbajoh, a PDP Chieftain in Warri South
Evang Emmanuel Oyovwe ,took turns to wish the newlyweds a joyful and successful married life.
It is worthy to remark that the wedding was well graced by members of God’s Grace Ministry INC Worldwide were Hon. Henry Aluya and his wife, Evang. Mrs Celina Aluya, remain active members for years. In honor of the couple’s commitment to the ministry, a large delegation from the the Bishop of the Whole World , Jesus Holiness , Saint Daniel Dikeji Miyerijesu was present to celebrate with the Aluya family .
Music was supplied by Ojemba Sound Makers Band international from Abia State led by Prince lfeanyi Okeke.
The joyous event was a fitting celebration of love, unity, and cultural harmony, as the union of Stella and Bright brought together families from Delta and Abia States, underscoring the spirit of togetherness and national integration.
