Engineer Bello resigns from PDP, meets Governor Bello
A Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kabba-Bunu local government area of Kogi State, one time Chairman of the local government and Zonal party official, Engineer Solomon Bello has officially dumped the main opposition People’s Democratic Party as he met with Governor Yahaya Bello yesterday to pledge his loyalty and support for the APC Governorship candidate, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman.
According to him, he has decided to quit the opposition party to join forces with the governing All Progressives Congress to secure an overwhelming victory for the party come November 11 Governorship election in the state.
He lauded the leadership acumen of Governor Yahaya Bello as his achievements in critical sectors in the state speaks volumes of person as a man of fairness, equity and justice, pointing out that the establishment of the Kogi State University in Kabba is a giant step to address the agelong yearning and aspirations of the people.
He promised to collaborate with other stakeholders to work for the overall success of the party in the forthcoming Governorship election, stressing that Kogi state cannot afford to be in opposition again.
