The Senator representing Kogi West, Sunday Karimi, has extolled the virtues of Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals, Engr. Abubakar Bashir Gegu, on the occasion of his 47th birthday celebration, describing him as an exceptional politician, grassroots mobilizer, and a driver of development, especially for his people.
Senator Karimi, in a statement by his media team on Friday, applauded the Honourable Commissioner for his years of service to the people, loyalty to the party, and respect for age-long relationships. The Senator also emphasized the services Engr. Bashir has rendered to humanity, which are central to his philosophy of achieving lasting community development and progress, stressing that leadership should always be focused on helping the people, especially at the grassroots, to alleviate their challenges and improve their livelihoods.
“Politics is not just about every election cycle; it is about ensuring that the people who took the pains of campaigning, supporting, and voting for leaders truly enjoy the dividends of their hard work and democracy. My friend, Engr. Bashir Gegu, has continued to uphold this philosophy to serve, empower, and support our people who, in actual sense, are the real stakeholders.
“Engr. Bashir Gegu is, no doubt, a grassroots mobilizer, a loyal politician, and a community leader who has continued to galvanize support for the party, the APC, and the government he serves through his support for young people, empowerment of traditional rulers, and support for women and small-scale businesswomen.”
Senator Karimi prayed that Allah may grant him many more years in good health and abundant grace to continue in service to humanity.
