Engr. Olushola George Olumoroti to Receive Exemplary Public Leadership Award on August 19
ABUJA — The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority, Ilorin, Engr. Olushola George Olumoroti, has been selected to receive the ‘Exemplary Public Leadership Award’ at the 16th Public Lecture and Award Ceremony organized by Democracy Newsline Newspaper.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, 19th August, 2026, at the Banquet Hall, National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja by 5pm. It will mark the 27th Anniversary of Uninterrupted Democracy in Nigeria.
According to the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of Democracy Newsline Newspaper, Chief Olugbemi Femi, the award is in recognition of Engr. Olumoroti’s outstanding contributions to infrastructure development, job creation, and public service delivery in Nigeria.
“Engr. Olushola George Olumoroti has demonstrated exemplary leadership through his commitment to quality service, youth empowerment and community development,” Chief Femi said. “His work continues to set a standard for public-spirited leadership in the public sector.”
The theme of this year’s lecture is “Economic Reform, Democracy and Sustainable Development: The Nigeria Example.” The event will also feature the Induction of distinguished Nigerians into the Good Governance Hall of Fame.
Other dignitaries expected at the event include government officials, traditional rulers, captains of industry, and civil society leaders.
The organizers said the awards are designed to celebrate individuals whose leadership has positively impacted governance, democracy and sustainable development across the country.
Engr. Olumoroti is expected to deliver a goodwill message at the ceremony and will be presented with a plaque and citation in honor of his achievements.
