Ex Kogi Sports Commissioner Musa calls for upgrading of Lokoja Confluence Stadium

The outgoing Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development Alhaji Idris Musa has called for the upgrading of Confluence stadium Lokoja to international standard to meet up with the global standard for sporting activities in the state.

Musa made the call on Wednesday while handing over to the Permanent Secretary, Kogi State Ministry of Youths and Sport
Mrs Baje Janet Mojisola in Lokoja.

According to a statement issued on Wednesday in Lokoja by the information Officer, Kogi State Ministry of Youth and Sports James Sani, said the outgoing Sports Commissioner further appealed to the incoming administration in Kogi State to look into office accommodation, furnitures and stationeries for effective Job delivery.

He maintained that when the ministry is given adequate attention, it will enhance the economic growth and development of the state.

According to him, the ministry has no single functional vehicle and appealed to the incoming government to provide the ministry the necessary support towards service delivery.

He expressed appreciation to the state Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello for the opportunity given to him to serve in that capacity as Commissioner for sports and Youth development under him, adding that, he came to the ministry to add value for the development of sports in Kogi State.

“I am dedicating this achievement to the state Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello for him worthy to work with him. I also want to thank the staff and management of the ministry for their support during my time as the Commissioner for Youths and Sports.

Musa particularly commended the Permanent Secretary of the ministry Mrs Baje Janet Mojisola for her dedication to duty, charging her not to relent in her efforts in moving the ministry forward.

Speaking on behalf of the staff and management, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry Mrs Baje Janet Mojisola described the outgoing Commissioner Alhaji Idris Musa as a man of excellence performance and a role model.

She congratulated Alhaji Idris Musa for the successful completion of his tenure in the office and pray for God to guide him in his future endeavors.
