He acknowledged the enormous energy that comes from Sugarcane through value chain production which he said will be used to develop livelihood around agriculture especially livestock.

He also told the investors that the State Government has created the Niger State electricity regulatory Commission which makes the State independent to generate power adding that the enormous bodies of water in the State will serve as advantage for hydro generation.

Farmer Umaru Bago said the State Government through collaboration with the State legal team, Department of Energy and Power will sit and liaise with the investors to define exactly what is needed to be done and set timeline for delivery.

Leader of the team and Chairman, Diamond Bright Worldwide Ltd, Ahmed Abdulkadir said they were at the Government House to make a proposal to the Government on investment in livestock and power.

He said the agreement of the proposal is on zero grazing aimed at improving milk and meat production through the supply of latest improved feeds to cattle saying, the problem faced in livestock breeding is the quality of feeds given to cows adding that the proposal when approved by the State Government will bring significant growth in livestock industry as the investors will equally be off takers from the meat and milk to be produced in the State.

Director, Aqua Power, Umar Shuaibu in his remarks expressed readiness to add value to the people of Niger State through Agriculture saying, the target is to improve milk production in the State from 1 to 20 litres per day through cross breeding.

Representative of one of investors from Sudan, Captain Yusuf Ali acknowledged that no business will thrive without power which is why they are coming up with a proposal for a collaboration with the State Government to provide power through water which abounds in the state

He said his Company will partner with the state through power generation of 300mega watts to facilitate livestock production.
