FARMER GOVERNOR UMARU BAGO RESTATES COMMITMENT TO SUPPORTING THE NIGERIAN ARMED FORCES.
Niger State Governor, farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has expressed his administration’s commitment to continue to support the military as well as other security agencies in the State.
The Farmer Governor stated this at the 2025 Nigerian Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration and Wreath-laying Ceremony in Minna, the state capital.
Farmer Umaru Bago reassured that his administration will continue to collaborate with the military and provide a conducive atmosphere for all the security agencies in the State to enable them carry out their duties of ensuring the safety of lives and property of the citizenry.
The Farmer Governor who noted that the service of those who paid the supreme price with their lives to ensure peace and security in the state and the country at large cannot be estimated, disclosed that the State Government will continue to support the widows and the widowers for them to have a sense of belonging in the society.
Highpoint of the ceremony was the wreath laying performed by the Farmer Governor subsequently followed by the Speaker, Niger State House of Assembly represented by his Deputy, Mrs Afiniki Dauda, Heads of security Agencies and the Etsu Nupe and Chairman, Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers Alh. Yahaya Abubakar.
Others the Chairman, Nigeria Legion, Niger State Chapter, Alh. Mamuda Ahmed and the representatives of the widows of the fallen heroes, Hajiya Hadiza Tamba.
Other features at the event were special Prayers offered for the souls of the fallen heroes, gun salute, signing of the register and the presentation of a N50m cheque to the Niger State Chapter of the Nigerian Legion.
The Farmer Governor also released Pigeons symbolizing peace in the State and the Country at large.
