In the same vein, he also empowered 75 widows with grinding machines, 20 generators to small business holders and a set of digital cameras with tripod to a photographer, Amupitan Israel Babatunde.

Speaking to Journalists, Hon. Salman said the purpose of his being in the National Assembly to represent the people is to provide solutions to many of their challenges especially this time that the economy is biting harder due to subsidy removal on pms.

He said his understanding of empowerment should not be mere distribution of cash and food items rather it should be something that will assist the people to earn a living, hence he decided to facilitate the programs to help the vulnerable groups like the widows and youths within the constituency.

He promised to continue to provide qualitative representation going forward, and appealed to the people to continue to support him with prayers to have good health, sound mind to bring more goodies to the constituency.

He assured the people that more people will benefit from other programs in the offing, and pointed out that the administration of President Bola Tinubu is working on many programs that will bring succor to the people.

He noted that his decampment to the APC was as a result of people’s call for him to join the main stream party at the center as that will enable him to attract more dividends of democracy to the constituency.

He urged all those still in his former party ADC to join him in the ruling party as that is the only way they can get more benefits, while pointing out that he has no intention to leave anyone behind in the Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency.

While on the proposed change of government from the presidential to parliamentary system, he noted that the constitution amendment is still ongoing with consultations with different stakeholders across the country, stressing that it is the people that are agitating for the change but it must go through the constitution amendment which is still ongoing currently but assured the people that the 10th assembly will give Nigerians the best.
