FIELD REPORT: PCRC ELECTION OBSERVERS RECEIVE TRAINING IN OSOGBO
Reporting from Osogbo, Osun State, the National Chairman of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Alhaji Mogaji Ibraheem Olaniyan, alongside his team of election observers, proceeded to the NUG venue where a comprehensive training and lecture session was conducted for all members of the observation team.
The National Chairman personally addressed the observers, taking them through the standard modus operandi, guidelines and professional procedures for election observation as maintained by the government and relevant authorities.
He emphasized the need for neutrality, discipline, objectivity, vigilance and strict adherence to established procedures throughout the election-observation exercise. The training was designed to ensure that every observer understands his or her responsibilities and conducts the assignment professionally and without bias.
Comrade Bibi Oduku, the Senior Special Assistant SSA on Civil Engagement to the National Chairman PCRC said The session further equipped the observers with the necessary knowledge to effectively monitor proceedings, document observations and report accurately throughout the electoral process.
Comrade Bibi Oduku said, the National Chairman pictured out the law abiding educations observers that will service during the election to report any suspicious activities to the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies on security challenges during the election and that they should not engage in violent acts during the period and carryout effective intelligences informations gathering systems that will be in the favour of peace building and non violence manners.
