Former Lawmaker Calls for Collective Action Against Insecurity in Okunland

By Sunday Ajayi

Hon. TJ Yusuf, a former lawmaker, has sounded the alarm over the rising tide of kidnappings and violent crimes in Okunland, urging collective action to address the issue.

He disclosed this in a statement he posted on his Facebook page describing the brazen nature of these attacks as a clarion call to action for the community to rise up and reclaim their communities.

Yusuf emphasized that press statements alone are insufficient and that decisive action is necessary to stop this menace.

He warned that if left unchecked, anarchy could become the norm, stressing the need for the state government and security agencies to collaborate to stem this development.

The former lawmaker also condemned individuals within the communities who collaborate with these criminals, cautioning that they will face the consequences of their actions.

Yusuf’s statement serves as a wake-up call to the authorities to demonstrate unwavering commitment to tackling insecurity in Okunland.

The community is counting on decisive action to restore peace and security.
