Gov. Bello To Officially Declare 2023 Kogi Trade Fair Open Monday

… Indigenous producers, entrepreneurs arrive Lokoja for ongoing trade fair

The 2023 edition of the ongoing Kogi Trade Fair that began on Monday 20th November December 2023 would be officially declared open on Monday by Gov. Yahaya Bello.

The Trade which seeks to showcase made in Nigeria exportable goods has already begun, with Gov. Bello expected to declare the fair open Monday.

The theme for the Trade Fair, “MSME Value Addition and Enhancement as Catalyst For Sustainable Economic Development”, is meant to expose local producers and entrepreneurs to global market place.

Gov. Bello called on local and foreign investors to take advantage of the secured environment in the State to invest in the State.

The Trade Fair is organized by Kogi Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture KOCCIMA, in collaboration with the Nigerian Association of Small Scale Industrialists NASSI, with support from the Kogi State Government, Dangote Cement PLC; West African Ceramics, United Bank For Africa and Nigerian Shippers Council.

The Trade Fair is also meant to attract investment, enable participants from corporate organizations, individual investors and manufacturers and policy makers to invest in the State economy.

The Trade Fair is holding at the Ultra Modern General Muhammad Buhari Civic Centre, Lokoja, .

The fair will enable producers and manufacturers of made in Nigeria products to interface, facilitate linkages with SME operators and export market operators.

The Trade Fair which promises to be a win- win situation for participants, with big players in the manufacturing and industrial sectors in Nigeria as participants, would enhance access to local foods and agricultural processors and manufacturers of made in Kogi products, even as it would draw the attention of policy makers to the promotion of indigenous goods and services in the development of SMEs for wealth creation and employment generation.

Speaking with the Nigerian Post, Samuel Enejoh, Director General of KOCCIMA, confirmed that the ongoing trade fair has attracted many participants.

He called on buyers and sellers to avail themselves the opportunity by visiting the trade fair ground, assured of a pleasurable experience of a robust and touristic sites.
