The Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo has assured of an enabling environment for businesses to thrive in the State.
Gov. Ododo made the promise at the inauguration of Hausa Trader’s Association Executives, Kogi state Chapter, held at the Children Amusement Park Lokoja.

The Governor who was represented at the Inauguration by Engr. Bashiru Abubakar Gegu, Kogi State Commissioner For Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, stressed the importance of peace and unity, pointing out that it remains a veritable ingredient for businesses to prosper..
The Governor assured all the residents and other people living in the State to carry out their lawful business in an atmosphere of peace, assured of security at all times.
The Governor described the State as very peaceful, urged the traders to live in peace with their host communities, described Kogi State as a melting point for the country, said the enabling environment his administration has put in place is making the State a destination for businesses and investment.
He disclosed that under his administration, policies and programs that will enable businesses to thrive as well as necessary measures has been put in place for people to carry out their trades unhindered.
He commended the Traders for cohabitating peacefully with their host communities, promised them all the necessary support now and in the future.
In his usual characteristics, the representative of the Governor, Engr. Bashiru Gegu, personally on behalf of the Governor donated the sum of N500,000 as his support for the take off of the newly inaugurated Executives.
