Governor Bello, Minister Shuaibu Audu, Other Dignitaries stormed Kabba for the installation of Tinubu’s Daughter as Aare Oja of Okunland

It was a convergence of creme de la creme of dignitaries from all walks of life that converged at the Royal Court of the Obaro of Kabba and Chairman, Okun Area Traditional Council in Kabba-Bunu local government area of Kogi state, North Central Nigeria, to witness the installation of the Aare Oja of Okunland on the daughter of the first family in Nigeria, Chief (Dr.) Afolasade Mujidat Tinubu-Ojo, the Iyaloja General of Nigeria.
The occasion which was held on Sunday 27th August, 2023 had attendance, the representative of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, Prince Shuaibu Audu, Honourable Minister of Steel Development, market associations members from the southwest and that of Kogi state, political associates, representatives of Okun United for Ododo/Joel Project, 2023 and other various interest groups across the country.
While welcoming the dignitaries into the Royal Court of Kabba, the Chairman, Organizing Committee, Chief Muyiwa Ibeun said having realized the great job Chief Afolasade Tinubu-Ojo is doing in Lagos to reorganize the market associations for meaningful contribution to the socio economic development of Lagos state and looking at the strategic location of Kogi state that is bordered by 10 states including Federal Capital Territory they decided in alignment with her ideology to extend her activities to other states in the country, they decided to start in the state.
He said the Aare Oja of Okunland is an initiative of the traditional institution of Okunland to draw the attention of Chief Afolasade Tinubu-Ojo closer to the people of Okun nation especially the market associations as that is her core area of focus hence the Okun Area Traditional Council in their wisdom unanimously approved of it, which according to him the attendance of all the traditional rulers in Okunland showed how dear they hold the first family in Nigeria.
He described Aare Oja of Okunland as a philanthropist of note, humanitarian per excellence that is ready to contribute to the overall development of market associations in the country.
While given his goodwill message, Governor Yahaya Bello commended the Okun Traditional rulers for honoring the first daughter of the first family in the country, stressing that the honor done her is his own being the Governor of the state, describing her as humility personified despite her status in the society.
He said he was glad to have her in the state for such august occasion that will further cement the relationship of the people of Kogi and that of Lagos southwest, stressing that she has been a good and well behaved daughter of President Bola Tinubu,pointing out that in 2019 when he was contesting for his second term in office, Chief Afolasade Mujidat Tinubu-Ojo was in the state to rally round all the market associations in his support in the election that he won overwhelmingly.
He noted that Nigeria is a patient that needs surgical operation for him/her to be well and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the surgeon that is ready and willing to carry out the surgical operations, stressing that it will be painful when such operation is being carried out like in the current situation being experienced in the country.
He appealed to Nigerians to bear with the administration as things will normalize soon.
He blamed the extrutiating pains been experience now on the bad governance of the past administrations who refused to plan and do the right thing. He urged Nigerians to rally round President Bola Tinubu to fix the country for the benefits of all.
He said the title is not only for Okunland alone but it is for her to cover the entire state being the Governor, he would prefer she focus on the whole state having known her capacity to deliver on any assignmen.
He, added that she is invited to the first matriculation of the students into the recently established Kogi State University, Kabba before he leaves office and she will be one of the person that will help to mobilize resources for the success of the institution.
Earlier, the Obaro of Kabba said the council decided to conferred title of Aare Oja of Okunland on Chief (Mrs) Afolasade Mujidat Tinubu-Ojo due to her monumental contributions to the development of market associations management in Lagos state and her unblemished character to continue to reach out to the less privilege across the country.
The monarch said she is expected to extend whatever things she is doing in Lagos to Okunland in Kogi state, North Central Nigeria.
While responding the highly elated daughter of President Bola Tinubu and newly installed Aare Oja of Okunland appreciated the traditional Council led by His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Solomon Dele Owoniyi for their decision to honor her even when she never expected such, stressing that she is glad to be honored in Okunland.
According to her, she wholeheartedly received the title without any reservations, pointing out that she will justify the confidence repose in her, expressing appreciations to all the dignitaries that made it to the momentum occasion in Kabba.
Highlight of the event was her conferment by the traditional rulers and prayers were offered for her, the first family, Governor Bello and the entire country, Nigeria before dignitaries were thrilled with entertainment at 95 Degree Event Center in Kabba, Kogi State where food stuff package were distributed to market men and women that attended the occasion.
