Governor Mutfwang’s Defection to APC: A Strategic Move, Say Advisers
Advisers to Governor Mutfwang argue that his defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC) poses fewer risks than staying in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
They claim the move will align Plateau State with the federal government, attracting projects and resources.
Rt. Hon. Istifanus Mwansat, Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, stated that the defection is timely and will yield developmental projects, such as the Akwanga-Jos-Gombe road construction.
The advisers dismissed concerns about risks, saying Governor Mutfwang is a team player who will add value to the APC structure.
They noted that the APC has not officially rejected the Governor, citing the party’s national chairman announcement of the defection.
The occasion, Mutfwang’s Advocates End-of-Year Dinner and Award Night, featured awards for political office holders and captains of industry.
