Plateau State Government Sends 200 Youths to India for Medicine, Engineering, and ICT Courses

The National Youth Centre, North Central office, Gwafan District, Jos North Local Government Area, witnessed a large turnout of youths, parents, and well-wishers as Governor Caleb Mutfwang sent 200 students on scholarship to Sanskaran University, New Delhi, India.
Governor Mutfwang admonished the beneficiaries to be good ambassadors of Plateau State, saying he was “highly elated” about the event.
He assured that the selection process was merit-based, resisting influences from the House of Assembly.
He highlighted Plateau State’s history of producing notable scholars, urging students to remember their roots and make the state proud.
The beneficiaries comprise Christians and Muslims, reflecting the state’s diversity.
Commissioner for Education, Dr. Kachallom Gang, praised the governor’s initiative, emphasizing discipline and dedication. Goodwill messages came from various organizations, and the governor took a photograph with the students.
The event featured songs and blessings from parents and beneficiaries.
