GOVERNORS, ROYAL FATHERS, BUSINESS MOGULS GRACE HIGH CHIEF WAYLES’ SON’S WEDDING IN LAGOS

Governors, royal fathers, political leaders, business moguls, senior military officers and other prominent Nigerians on September 3 and 5, 2026, converged on Lagos for the grand traditional and wedding ceremonies of Dr. Oghenekome Egukawhore, son of prominent Niger-Delta leader and Chairman of Dewayles Group of Companies, High Chief Dr. Emonena Victor Wayles Egukawhore (JP), FCILG.
The ceremonies, which attracted distinguished personalities from across Nigeria and beyond, witnessed a colourful celebration of love, culture, class and family tradition as Dr. Oghenekome Egukawhore and his heartthrob, former Miss Stephanie Spencer, now Mrs. Stephanie Egukawhore, exchanged marital vows amid pomp and pageantry.
The high-profile gathering was graced by Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori; Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri; Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji; Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Dr. Peter Pereotubo Akpe, PhD; and a representative of the Ondo State Governor.

Also at the celebration were former Delta State Governor, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, and the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, PhD, alongside other political leaders and distinguished personalities.
The presence of the governors and other high-ranking political figures added considerable prestige to the ceremonies, which also attracted serving and former senators, members of the House of Representatives, members of State Houses of Assembly, serving and former commissioners, and serving and former local government council chairmen from different parts of the country.
The business community was equally well represented, with captains of industry, bank chairmen, chief executive officers, managing directors and prominent stakeholders in the oil and gas sector joining the celebration.
Senior military officers, both serving and retired, also attended, alongside leading professionals and business executives.
Traditional rulers, royal fathers and respected chiefs, particularly from Delta, Bayelsa and Ekiti states, added royal colour to the occasion as they gathered to honour High Chief Wayles Egukawhore and celebrate with the newlyweds.
The ceremonies also provided a meeting point for families, friends, associates and well-wishers who travelled from various parts of Nigeria and beyond to identify with the Egukawhore family.
The atmosphere throughout the celebration was one of excitement and jubilation, with music, dancing, cultural displays and entertainment providing memorable moments for guests.
At the centre of the celebration were Dr. Oghenekome and Mrs. Stephanie Egukawhore, who radiated happiness and gratitude as they welcomed their guests and celebrated the beginning of their marital journey.
