The Kogi State House of Assembly has confirmed the appointment of Hon. Folorunsho Ajayi as Executive Director of the Kogi State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (KOSOPADEC).

Ajayi, a former Honourable Councillor in the Kabba/Bunu Local Government Legislative Council, was confirmed following his appearance before the lawmakers, where he demonstrated his preparedness and commitment to contributing to the development of oil-producing communities in the state.
His confirmation is being described by political associates and community stakeholders as another recognition of his years of grassroots political engagement and public service.
As a former councillor, Ajayi has gained experience in grassroots representation and local governance, qualities that are expected to be brought to bear in his new responsibility at KOSOPADEC.
The KOSOPADEC Executive Director is expected to play a significant role in the implementation of programmes and policies targeted at improving infrastructure, human capital development and the general welfare of communities within the commission’s mandate.
Speaking on the development, supporters of the new Executive Director expressed confidence in his ability to justify the confidence reposed in him by the Kogi State Government and the State House of Assembly.
They noted that his journey from the Kabba/Bunu Legislative Council to a strategic position within KOSOPADEC reflects the importance of grassroots experience in effective public administration.
The confirmation has also generated congratulatory messages from political leaders, friends, associates and well-wishers, who described the appointment as a new chapter in Ajayi’s public service career.
They urged him to remain committed to transparency, accountability and inclusive development while ensuring that the interests of the people and communities under his mandate remain paramount.
