HEARTY FELICITATIONS TO THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF KOGI STATE ON A REMARKABLE FIRST ANNIVERSARY IN OFFICE.
I heartily congratulate His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State and Visitor to our institution, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, on the auspicious occasion of the first anniversary of his remarkable first term in Office.
Your Excellency, over the past one year, you have demonstrated that you are a true Chief Servant of the people; and this is reflected in your commitment to sustainable development in the education sector in particular, and the state in general.
In just one year, you have done the following for our institution:
- Advertisement -
1. Historic fencing of our Itakpe campus for adequate security of the campus;
2. Provision of transformer to boost electricity supply at the Itakpe campus:
3. Provision of solar street lights on our Lokoja campus to enhance illumination;
4. Provision of CCTV cameras to boost our security operation on the Lokoja and Itakpe campus;
5. Accreditation of 18 programmes & introduction of 8 new ones for sustainable quality assurance and expansion of access to Polytechnic education respectively; and
6. Implementation of the minimum wage and the corresponding tax holiday, Health Insurance Scheme and prompt payment of salaries.
These are testaments to your avowed commitment for enhanced security of lives and properties in our campuses and the overall welfare of staff and students in the State.

We are confident that your uncommon combination with your able Deputy, His Excellency, Comrade Joel Salifu Oyibo, will deliver lasting and positive dividends of democracy for the people.
