Hon. Anto Usman to Receive Award as Best Performing Executive Chairman in Kaduna State

Hon. Anto Usman, Executive Chairman of Sanga Local Government Area, Kaduna State, has been selected to receive the prestigious award for “Best Performing Executive Chairman in Kaduna State” by Democracy Newsline Newspaper.
The award recognises Hon. Usman’s outstanding leadership, prudent management of resources, and delivery of impactful projects in education, healthcare, rural infrastructure, security, and youth empowerment across Sanga LGA.

Under his administration, Sanga has witnessed the rehabilitation of primary healthcare centres, construction and renovation of rural roads, provision of potable water, and support for farmers and small businesses aimed at improving livelihoods at the grassroots.
Announcing the honour, the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of the Newspaper, Chief Olugbemi Femi, said Hon. Usman was nominated for demonstrating purposeful governance and commitment to inclusive development.
“Hon. Anto Usman has raised the bar for local government administration in Kaduna State. His focus on people-centered projects and transparent governance has brought measurable development to the people of Sanga. He is most deserving of this recognition,” Chief Femi stated.
The award will be presented on Wednesday, 19th August, 2026 at 5:00pm during the Democracy Newsline Newspaper 16th Public Lecture and Induction into the Good Governance Hall of Fame holding at the Banquet Hall, National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja.
The event marks the 27th Anniversary of Uninterrupted Democracy in Nigeria and is themed: “Economic Reform and Sustainable Development in a Democracy: The Nigeria Experience.”
A keynote address will be delivered by Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris, FCA, Honourable Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Kogi State.
Chairperson of the occasion is Chief (Mrs) Moji Makanjuola, Veteran Broadcaster.
Special Guest of Honour is Hon. Mohammed Idris, Honourable Minister, Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation.
Patron is HRH Akogun Isiaq Ajibola, Former MD/CEO, Daily Trust Limited.
Grand Patron is Hon. Durosinmi Meseko, Former Member, Federal House of Representatives.
