HON BASSANTA OKPANACHI APPRECIATES KOGI EAST APC LEADERS WHO WITNESSED HIS DECAMPING TO THE RULING ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS APC.
It was a political tsunami and eclipse as Hon. Bassanta Okpanachi decamped to the ruling APC with over 500 of his followers and supporters in Okpo, the headquarters of Olamaboro LGA.
They could not have been a better time than last Thursday the 17th of October, 2024 at the grand finale of Kogi State LGA election campaign at Okpo, for such historical event to take place.
Hon. Bassanta Okpanachi a former Stallworth of the PDP in Kogi State, a one-time divisional chairman of the party in Olamaboro said it was a new dawn in Kogi State.
Amazed and overwhelmed by the calibre of political gladiators from Kogi East present at his decamping Said that, his decision to lead over 500 of his supporters to the ruling APC was not just whimsical and a mere political exercise, but after a wide consultations with supporters across board predicated upon good governance and excellent performance of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo that has led to the delivery of dividends of democracy to the people of Kogi State..
The decamping ceremony which was supervised by the State Deputy Governor, Comrade Joel Salifu Oyibo, Kogi East APC zonal chairman, Hon. Sule Mikailu, and Hon. Alhaji Alhaji Halilu, the Executive Chairman of Idah LGA who has been his long time friend and political associate had a massive turnout.
Hon. Bassanta declared that his coming to the APC has dealt the final nail to the coffin of the PDP in Olamaboro LGA.
He used the opportunity to appreciate leaders of the APC in Olamaboro, Kogi East and the State in general. He appreciated the role played by individuals and groups in his smooth decamping to the APC: Hon commissioner for youth and sport Monday Anyebe,APC state secretary Joshua onoja, APC state woman leader ,Olamaboro local government APC chairman, Olamaboro Council chairman Hon. Williams Ameh and his deputy ,SA Labour Matters, Hon Onu Edoka, former Commissioner for Commerce and Industry,Yunusa Olofu, All the SSA from olamaboro and the Assembly member, Hon Bobby Ujah , all the councillors.
