HON. (DR) EMMANUEL OBARO WON AS BEST PERFORMING STATE LEGISLATOR IN KOGI STATE, 2025

Lokoja – Hon. (Dr.) Emmanuel Obaro, member representing Yagba East State constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly, has been awarded the Best Performing State Legislator in Kogi State by Advocacy for Youth Leadership in Governance Nigeria for the year 2025

The award was presented at an event in Lokoja today, with the National President of the group, Comrade Ajinomoh Abiodun, citing Dr. Obaro’s proficiency in management leadership and his outstanding contributions to the development of Kogi State.

The organisers said that the honour was bestowed on Dr. Obaro for his “proficiency in management leadership, resourcefulness, competence, and outstanding performance as one of the best performing state legislators in Kogi State.

The body described him as an “experienced and savvy grassroots politician, renowned philanthropist of international repute, and a dynamic legislator whose works continue to inspire youths across the country.”

The group further commended him for his advocacy for internal democracy, massive youth employment initiatives, and promotion of peaceful coexistence among communities in Yagba and beyond.

Receiving the award on behalf of the lawmaker, Hon. Sunday Paul thanked the organizers for recognizing Dr. Obaro’s efforts and pledged that the lawmaker would continue to work towards the overall development of his constituency and the state.

He noted that the award would further encourage the lawmaker to deepen his commitment to service delivery.

It will be recalled that the Chartered Institute of Public Resources Management and Politics, Ghana, recently decorated the lawmaker with a “Doctoral Fellow of this Institute (2025 Hall of Fame)” and also awarded him with the “Exemplary Corporate Leadership Excellent Award” as a renown nation-building expert, world-class professional administrator, exceptional personality, public service, and astute management technocrat.

He has continued to receive accolades from reputable organizations from far and wide based on his outstanding performances in the areas of security, education, infrastructure, youth and women empowerment, and above all, his articulation and robust contributions on the floor of the house, sponsoring bills and moving important and impactful motions.
