Hon. Durosinmi Meseko, the Deputy National Spokesman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Barrister Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress on the conferment of the prestigious National Honour of Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The honour was bestowed today as part of the nation’s recognition of deserving Nigerians.
In a statement released from his office, Hon. Meseko lauded Barrister Morka’s unwavering commitment to advancing democracy in Nigeria, describing the national honour as a well-deserved recognition of his tireless efforts and significant contributions to the nation’s democratic journey.
“Barrister Felix Morka has consistently demonstrated an exemplary dedication to democratic principles and the rule of law,” Hon. Meseko stated. “His commitment to strengthening our democratic institutions and ensuring a vibrant political landscape as the head of the Civil Liberties Organisation (CLO) at one point is evident in his long-standing work and advocacy. This CON award is a clear testament to his profound impact and invaluable service to Nigeria.”
The Deputy National Spokesman highlighted Barrister Morka’s consistent voice in advocating for good governance, transparency, and accountability, which he noted are crucial pillars for a thriving democracy. “Barrister Morka’s courage and conviction in speaking truth to power and championing the cause of the people have significantly contributed to the democratic progress we witness today,” Meseko added.
He further emphasized that the President’s recognition of Barrister Morka underscores the importance of acknowledging individuals who have dedicated their lives to nation-building and the sustenance of democratic ideals.
Hon. Meseko concluded by wishing Barrister Morka continued strength and inspiration in his ongoing contributions to Nigeria’s democratic development, expressing confidence that this honour will spur him to even greater service.
