Hon. Emmanuel Obaro, member of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Yagba East State Constituency has congratulated former Kogi State Governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello, on the occasion of his birthday.

He noted that Governor Bello’s 8 years in office, from 2016 to 2024, were marked by aggressive investment in road networks, health facilities, education infrastructure, and youth empowerment programs.

“Your Excellency, as you add another year today, I join millions of Kogites and well-wishers to celebrate a leader who dared to dream big for our state,” Obaro said. “Your administration laid the foundation for modern Kogi. The GYB legacy projects remain visible across the 3 senatorial districts.”

The lawmaker specifically commended Bello’s focus on youth inclusion in governance, pointing to the appointment of young commissioners and aides during his administration.

He added that the former governor’s push for security architecture in Kogi helped stabilize the state during periods of regional insecurity.

“On this day, I pray that Almighty Allah continues to grant you good health, wisdom, and long life to keep serving our people and our nation,” Obaro added. “Kogi people remain grateful for your service.”

Yahaya Bello served as Governor of Kogi State for two terms, 2016–2024. Since leaving office in January 2024, he has remained active in national politics and party affairs.

Birthday felicitations from political leaders, traditional rulers, and groups across Kogi have continued to pour in since the start of the week. END
