Hon. Ikusemoro S.A. Emmanuel Organizes Inter-School Quiz Competition, Sponsors School Fees for All Participants
In a remarkable demonstration of commitment to education and youth development, Hon. Ikusemoro S.A. Emmanuel has successfully organized and sponsored an inter-school quiz competition among secondary schools in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area.
The intellectually enriching event brought together brilliant students from four reputable secondary schools in Kabba, each of which presented two outstanding participants. The schools in attendance were:
St. Monica College, Kabba

Evangel College, Kabba
St. Augustine’s College, Kabba
These young scholars displayed exceptional academic prowess, competing confidently in a stimulating atmosphere that promoted learning and healthy rivalry.
At the end of the keenly contested event, the first runner-up emerged from St. Monica College, Kabba, with the overall best student also coming from the same school. In recognition of excellence and participation, Hon. Ikusemoro awarded a one-year scholarship to the overall best student, while all other participants received full payment of their school fees for one academic term—a rare and impactful gesture that won the admiration of students, parents, and educators.
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Ikusemoro urged students to stay focused and committed to their studies, emphasizing that “education remains the master key to both personal and societal advancement.” He encouraged them to see the competition as a source of motivation to continue striving for excellence in all areas of life.
The initiative was executed under the leadership of the Executive Chairman of Kabba/Bunu LGA, Hon. (Barr.) Zaccheus Dare Michael, and aligns with the broader educational development agenda of His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo. Hon. Ikusemoro praised the Governor for his steadfast support for education, describing it as the foundation for building a brighter and more prosperous Kogi State.
