Hon. Leke Abejide will win in 2027 if he contests again – Chief Richard Asaje

The Chief Executive Officer of Ejire Hotels, Obajana, and the National Coordinator of Like Minds Alliance Pressure Group in Kogi State, Chief Richard Asaje, has declared that the House Committee Chairman on Customs and Excise, Hon. Leke Abejide, will win with a landslide margin if he desires to contest again in 2027.

The elder statesman disclosed this in an interview with Comrade Dele Ogbonrewaju, pointing out that those who are insinuating that the two-term member of the National Assembly will not win if he desires to contest the Yagba Federal Constituency seat in 2027 are only saying that because they lack the dynamics of winning elections in Yagba land.

According to him, the monumental achievements of the lawmaker in the last six years have endeared him to the people at the grassroots who are the true voters who are benefiting from his good leadership that has redefined politics in the area.

He further noted that the days that politicians come to deceive the people at the grassroots with peanuts have gone, pointed out that Hon Leke Abejide has initiated projects, programs, and policies that have an impact positively on the people, especially in the area of education, health care delivery, rural infrastructure, human capital development aside huge financial support to communities, groups, and individuals.

“Politics is not for the keyboard warriors who only know how to pull down. I am looking beyond 2027 when God will take Hon Leke to another level where Okun Nation /Kogites at large will experience a new way of life through dividends of democracy”

He acknowledged that those who are working against him are just rabble-rousers comforting themselves and their followers with fairy tales, stressing that any opposition that is raising its heads is dead on arrival because the people of Yagba know how to appreciate good things.

He also noted that Governor Usman Ododo has come to complete the good works started by former Governor Yayaha Bello, stressing that his second term bid will be with little effort considering his laudable achievements in just one year in office.

He described Governor Ododo as a visionary leader who is investing heavily in both human capital and infrastructure development of the state, especially the rural areas, pointed out that his second term in office is sacrosanct hence Kogi West Senatorial District will not disturb themselves in challenging him rather they will support him to have his 8 years after which the power will rotate to the zone in 2031.

While on President Bola Tinubu, Chief Asaje said things will get better as most of the reforms embarked upon by the renewed hope agenda are already showing signs that the country will be better for it, urging Nigerians to show more resilience to weather the storms for the good of the nation.

“E LO FI OKAN BA LEE… Nigeria will be better off as of next year. So many things that seem like they will not be possible will begin to work. Tinubu is a leader with the key to turning the economy of Naija right”
