Hence the need to formally have a gathering to appreciate the party executives, leaders and stakeholders of the ward.

He used the opportunity to once again pledge that he would give the ward quality representation at the council promising that he would keep up with the leadership stride of Hon. Engr. Ademu Muhammed Yahaya, the Executive Chairman of Ankpa Local Government Council and His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State to make sure that dividends of democracy reached the ward. He also used the opportunity to brief the gathering that he had used his first salary to rehabilitate a borehole at Ogane-Inye and another at Ojuaka-Inye to ease the water needs of the people of the ward. He told them that he would continue to do the ones within his own power and would draw the attention of the workaholic Chairman of the local government and the development-friendly Governor of the State to the needs of the ward. He called for adequate support for the APC government by the people of the ward in order for government to respond to their developmental requests.

The gathering which was convened by the Ward Chairmen had over 40 persons in attendance comprising the 28 ward executives, 2 local government executives and over 15 others who were leaders and stakeholders of the ward. Hon. Lexo donated over two hundred thousand naira (N200,000) with each person taking home five thousand naira (N5,000) in appreciation for their support for him, the party APC and Hon. Engr. Ademu Muhammed Yahaya and His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.

The Chairman of the ward Hon. Samson A. Zekeri and the Leader Hon. Pete Amodu commended the Councillor for the steps he had taken within his short time in office. They said that with the way he started they were confident that he would deliver effectively in the job ahead. Others who spoke extolled him for his good quality and prayed for him to excel more in the representation of the ward and his further endeavours.
