Hon. Oniekpar Applauds Governor Diri’s Infrastructural Development Strides

The Technical Adviser to the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State on Media and Public Affairs, Hon. Wisdom Oniekpar Ikuli, has commended Governor Douye Diri for his remarkable achievements in infrastructural development across the state.
According to him, Bayelsa has witnessed unprecedented transformation under the workaholic and visionary leadership of Senator Diri, who is now serving his second term. He stressed that the governor’s sustained commitment to providing infrastructure continues to amaze right-thinking Bayelsans, as such drive is often associated with first-term governors seeking re-election.

Hon. Oniekpar noted that Governor Diri’s infrastructural strides have distinguished him from his predecessors, describing him as a generational leader whose indelible footprints are already redefining Bayelsa’s developmental narrative in the South-South region.
He further described the administration’s initiatives as “signature projects”—massive undertakings with long-term socioeconomic impact. These include the ongoing construction of the 25,000-capacity Igbogene Stadium, the new modern State Secretariat, and the Nembe–Brass Road project, among others.
Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the official launch of The Property Brokers International Magazine and the unveiling of Africa’s 100 Real Estate Personalities held at the prestigious Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Center, Abuja, on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, Hon. Oniekpar emphasized that these projects are monumental in scope and significance.
Beyond his role in government, Hon. Wisdom Oniekpar Ikuli is also a respected author, environmental and human rights activist, social critic, analyst, and social media practitioner.
