Hon. Tunde Akanmidu Congratulates Senator Sunday Karimi on APC Primary Victory, Calls It a Win for Consolidation
Lokoja, Kogi State – Hon. Tunde Akanmidu has congratulated Senator Sunday Karimi on his victory in the just-concluded APC Senatorial Primary Election for Kogi West Senatorial District.
Akanmidu described the outcome as a clear endorsement of Karimi’s leadership and service. “The overwhelming support across Kogi West is a testament to Senator Karimi’s transformative leadership, quality representation, and unwavering commitment to the growth and development of our people,” he said.
He added that Karimi’s emergence as the APC flag bearer is “not just a personal victory, but a victory for consolidation, continuity, and sustained progress.”

“His second-term ticket reflects the collective desire of the people to continue benefiting from purposeful, people-oriented representation — the kind Senator Karimi has delivered since assuming office,” Akanmidu stated.
The Senior Legislative Aide also commended the Executive Governor of Kogi State, H.E. Ahmed Usman Ododo, party leaders, stakeholders, and APC members across the state for their unity and commitment to a successful primary process. “Their steadfast support remains instrumental to the strength and stability of our great party,” he noted.
Akanmidu urged all stakeholders and supporters to sustain the current momentum of mobilization and unity to secure decisive victories for Senator Karimi and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in the forthcoming general election.
