PDP Candidate for Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency in the forthcoming general elections in Nigeria, Hon. Victor Femi Olubiyo, has congratulated the Ologidi of Ogidi, His Royal Majesty, Oba R.O. Sule and the entire Odigi Kingdom on the occasion of the 2026 Ogidi Day Cultural Festival.
In a congratulatory message made available to newsmen, the House of Reps Hopeful described the annual festival as a celebration of the rich cultural heritage, history, and unity of the Ogidi people and Okunland at large.
“Ogidi Day is more than a festival; it is a reaffirmation of our identity, values, and collective aspirations as a people,” Hon. Olubiyo said. “Under the wise leadership of Oba R.O. Sule, Ogidi Kingdom has continued to showcase its traditions while embracing peace, development, and progress.”
He commended the monarch for using the cultural platform to promote unity, attract development, and project Okun heritage beyond Kogi State.
He urged sons and daughters of Ogidi both at home and in the diaspora to use the occasion to reflect on the town’s progress and contribute meaningfully to its growth.
“On behalf of myself, family, and great party, the People’s Democratic Party, in Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu, I felicitate our royal father, Oba R.O. Sule, and the entire Ogidi community. May this year’s celebration bring renewed peace, prosperity, and greater milestones for Ogidi Kingdom,” he added.
The 2026 Ogidi Day Cultural Festival is expected to draw traditional rulers, political leaders, and cultural groups from across Kogi and neighboring states for drumming, dance, and heritage displays.
