Hon. Yakubu Ezekiel, Appreciates All the Citizens of Jos East.
Hon. Yakubu Ezekiel, Izang,is the household name in Jos East Local Government Area and his name is always in the lips of the people of the locality and his indelible footprints may not be forgotten in a hurry.
When interacting with Journalists in Tere, his polling unit in Fursum District of Jos East Local Government Area.
I’m elated to have you this afternoon and also with the conduct of the election that’s ongoing, the turn out is quite encouraging, political awareness is on the increase ,the recent autonomy of the local Governments granted the federal government and people want their voices to be heard as you can see the process is smooth, every electorates is being giving the opportunity to to elect candidate of his choice.
This election today, marks the end of my tenure as the executive Chairman of Jos East Local Government Area although the tenure was truncated but then today is exactly three years that I was elected as Chairman,I have no regret in my mind for the short period i was in office,i was able to deliver and we went campaigning in all the nooks and crannies of the local Government and we were received by the massive Crowth,if you compare the achievements of those that came after us,the difference is very clear and that shows that we have done our best and people are happy on what we have done ,you know Jos East is rural in nature and the road networks is our major concern base on this,i bought bulldozers, graders and caterpillar,we started fixing the roads across the LGA,we also constructed bridges, connnected some communities with electricity,we also drilled about 30 boreholes across the local Government, intalled solar lights and booster networks in about 7 communities and that has improved commmercial activities and networks.
I appreciates the people of Jos East for trusting us with the mandate,we didn’t waste it but judiciously used it.
That’s why we can stand anywhere today and address our people.
My party found me fit to lead the campaign of our Chairmanship candidate,Hon. Bulus Ajiji and we went round the 19 wards in the locality and the reception was overwhelming .
