Honourable Minister of Defence congratulates on Emergence as APC Deputy Publicity Scribe
In a move highlighting the synergy between Nigeria’s political leadership and national security apparatus, the Honourable Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (Rtd), has formally congratulated Hon. Meseko Durosinmi Josiah on his election as the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Minister’s commendation follows the APC National Convention held at Eagle Square, Abuja, on March 27-28, 2026, where Meseko was elected by over 8,000 accredited delegates.
In a congratulatory letter addressed to the APC National Secretariat, General Musa described the election as a clear testament to the party’s trust in Meseko’s strategic capabilities. He further noted that the appointment aligns with the vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and his “Renewed Hope Agenda.”
“Your election… clearly demonstrates the confidence that the party reposes in you and the firm belief in your capacity to provide strategic guidance for the party,” the Minister stated.
The Minister expressed optimism that Meseko’s tenure would bring:
Purposeful Leadership: A focus on organizational stability and unity.
Structural Strengthening: A commitment to reinforcing party organs at all levels.
Strategic Repositioning: Preparing the ruling party effectively ahead of the 2027 general elections.
A significant highlight of the Minister’s message was the emphasis on the intersection between political stability and national safety. General Musa underscored that collaboration between political leaders and security institutions is “essential to maintaining peace and advancing collective national aspirations.”
The Minister concluded by reassuring the new Deputy National Publicity Secretary of his ministry’s commitment to working closely with the party leadership to enhance national cohesion and support initiatives that bolster the country’s security architecture.
Hon. Meseko Durosinmi Josiah now retains his seat in the APC’s national working committee at a pivotal time as the party begins its strategic buildup for the next electoral cycle.
