How Politics Divides Plateau state Youth Council into Factions.υ
The Plateau state Youth Council (PYC), is in total disarray as the Chairman has completely abondon his responsibilities.
The International Youth day that is celebrated annually by the Youth Globally on the 12th of August.
The Celebration in Jos the Plateau state Capital was in total shambles as the few EXCOs led by the Deputy Chairman, Emmanuel Jukun takes a walk from the old Airport to Azi Nyako Youth Center and subsequently join by the Commissioner of Youth and sports Development,Hon. Bashir Lawandi Datti planted trees in line with the theme. Green skills for youths towards sustainable Development.
The scanty program was grace by few youths and hired thugs that were hired to participate instead of the Youths for the District and Local governments in line with the Tradition of the Council.
The Plateau state Youth Council is an affiliate of the National Youth Council of Nigeria and is the umbrella body of all the youths in Plateau state.
The Structure include the State Executive Council,Central Working Committee,Local government Executive Council, District EXCOs and the Veterans.
The event shows that All the veterans,Chairman of the Council and all other stakeholders were conspicuously absent, when the program was ongoing,the Chairman of Mangu and secretary of the Council came into the chairman’s office and started ranting that those that stages the program are partisan and they were not carried along in organizing the event.
Before the Program,the Youth Council had earlier visited the Governor led by the Deputy Chairman and also taken some relief materials to the victims of attacks in Mangu LGA.
All efforts to reach the chairman for his respond prove abortive as his line was not Connecting as of the time of filing this report
