Idris Gegu Commends Senator Karimi’s N100m Bursary disbursement To Kogi West Origin

The ongoing Disbursement of N100 million bursary launched by Senator Sunday Steve Karimi for Kogi West students in the 2024/2025 academic session has garnered widespread commendations.

Hon. Alhaji Idris Gegu Aig, a foremost of the All Progress Congress (APC), has commended Senator Karimi’s decision to support the academic pursuits of students from Kogi West Senatorial District in tertiary institutions.

Hon. Idris Gegu emphasized the timely significance of bursary disbursement to students, given the prevailing economic challenges in Nigeria.

He noted that the financial assistance provided through the bursary program will significantly alleviate the burden on students and their parents during this critical period in Nigeria’s history.

Hon. Idris Gegu praised Senator Karimi’s leadership and commitment to transparency, ensuring strict oversight and eliminating unnecessary bureaucratic hurdles in the disbursement process.

He acknowledged the committee’s rigorous evaluation of 3,418 Kogi West students’ applications for the Bursary Initiative, resulting in 1,000 deserving students from 85 wards being selected, with a minimum of 10 beneficiaries per ward.

He however, notes that the approval of N100 million for students’ bursary reflects Karimi’s commitment to investing in human capital development and ensuring that education remains accessible to all deserving students of Kogi West Senatorial district.

Hon. Idris Gegu urged beneficiaries to make adequate use of the fund release through words and actions and wishes the best in their academic pursuits.
