Idris Gegu Hails Sen. Karimi N27.5M Funding for Kogi West APC Candidates
An ardent supporter and Member of the All Progressive Congress, (APC) in Kogi State, Alhaji Idris Gegu Aig has hails Senator Karimi for disbursing over N27.5 Million to support APC candidates in the seven Local Government of Kogi Western Senatorial District, ahead of the Local Government Elections schedule for October 19th, 2024.
The seven local government areas are; Kabba/Bunu, Koton Karfe/Kogi, Ijumu, Yagba East, Yagba West, Mopamuro and Lokoja.
He commended Sen. Karimi for dishing out a whooping sum of N7 million to each of the seven chairmanship candidates, N500,000 to each of the Vice chairmanship candidates, and N200,000 to the 85 councilorship candidates across the 7 LGAs in Kogi west senatorial district.

Idris Gegu noted that the financial backing is expected to boost the party’s chances of securing seamless victory, especially considering the Senator’s reputation for good representation and delivery of dividends of democracy.
According to him, “Sen. Karimi commitment to grassroots development shines through his actions. He’s a shining example of a legislature that truly serves the people.”
He recalled that recently Sen. Karimi handed over a newly built and well equipped military base to the Nigerian Army in Egbe, Yagba West LGA, to combat kidnapping, banditry and improve security in Kogi and some areas in Kwara State.
Idris Gegu urged APC candidates to make judicious use of the funds released by Sen. Karimi, demonstrate effective leadership when elected, and prioritize the interests of their constituents.
He prayed that God continue to sustain and guide Sen. Karimi as he continues to provide exemplary leadership.
