Ijumu APC Stakeholders Endorse Alh. Usman Ahmed Ododo For Kogi State Governor

The Ijumu All Progressive Congress (APC) critical stakeholders on the 12th August, 2023 met at Iyara Town Hall to unanimously endorse Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo and Mr Salisu Joel for Governor and Deputy Governor respectively based on their track records in the offices they previously worked.

The Local party Chairman, Hon. Babatunde Paul in his welcome address used the occasion to thank the party stakeholders for their tireless efforts before, during and after the recent general elections.

He further stated that the critical stakeholders have assessed the candidature of the party candidates and have come to the conclusion that they are the  candidates to beat come November 11 election.

The Commissioner of Environment, Hon. Victor Omofaiye urged party members that if any leader or executive member has offended them across the fifteen  wards, they should forgive them for the sake of the party.

He further called for the  endorsement of  Alh. Usman Ahmed Ododo, saying that he will consolidate on the achievements of  Governor Yahaya Bello when elected.

The Kogi State ALGON Chairman and Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government, Hon.Taufiq Isa said Governor Yahaya Bello has done much in terms of Security, Provision of infrastructural facilities, Education, Civil Service reforms, agricultural development among others, which he know that Alh. Usman Ododo will consolidate upon.

“I want to say that this gathering is mainly an endorsement meeting to show appreciation to GYB’s administration for appointing our sons and daughters to enviable positions”.

” The meeting is also to reiterate our support for Alh. Ahmed Ododo came on November 11 by giving him overwhelming votes against what was seen in the general elections.

Furthermore, the meeting is to map out strategies with the stakeholders to see how they will go about the forthcoming  election to elect Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo.

The Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Sunday Faleke, House of Assembly representing Ijumu constituency, Hon. Omotayo Adeleye Ishaya, Former Caretaker Chairman of Ijumu Local Government, Hon. Funsho Olumoko, APC National Deputy Publicity Secretary, Hon. Ismail Yahaya and Hon. Richard Osaseyi all spoke in tandem with the other speakers.

Other critical stakeholders who attended the meeting include State Working Committee Members, State appointees,Local Government Executives,Ward Party Executives, Legislative Council Members and Executive Council Members.
