Women Will Be Given A Pride Of Place If Elected Governor – – Oborevwori

The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly and State PDP Governorship Candidate for the 2023 general elections, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori has congratulated women in the state in particular and the nation in general on the celebration of the International Women’s Day.

Rt Hon Oborevwori, who is also the National Deputy Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria in a press statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Dennis Otu, felicitated with women in the State on this year’s celebration of International Women’s Day, saying that if elected Governor of the state, women will not be relegated to the background.

While saying that the role of women in the society cannot be overemphasized, the PDP Gubernatorial Candidate, said that when elected as Governor in the March 11th, 2023, Governorship election in the state, women are going to be given adequate attention and more of them will come on board to serve in his administration.

“I wish to celebrate our women in Delta State, Nigeria and the world in general on this auspicious occasion of this year’s International Women’s day. Our women in Delta State are great and they are going to play vital roles in my administration if I am elected Governor of our great state by the grace of God”, he said.

According to him too; ” I strongly believe in the affirmative action and our women are going to be deeply involved in my administration. So in the transition committee we are going to constitute to usher in the new administration kicking off May 29th, 2023, our women will be part of it and make meaningful contributions so that our women are carried along in the incoming administration. They will be given sense of belonging.

“I wish to once again congratulate our ever vibrant, dedicated and hardworking women in Delta State in the celebration of this year’s International Women’s Day. Be rest assured that our women are going to be given a pride of place in my administration if elected Governor of the state on Saturday, March 11, 2023”, Rt Hon Oborevwori said.
