Kwara: INEC Commence Batching, Distribution of Sensitive Election  Materials 

KEHINDE AKINPELU,ILORIN 

The Independent National electoral commission( INEC),in Kwara state, has commenced batching and distribution of Sensitive election materials ahead of the march 11th governorship and state Assembly election in the State. 

Addressing, journalists during the  hatching of the sensitive materials at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN),Ilorin branch, the State administration Secretary of the INEC ,Mr Julius Yagba ,said the materials will be distributed across the 16 locations government area of the state.

According to him,the essence of the early batching of the materials is to ensure timely distribution of the materials. 

He explained the measures have been put in place to remove challenges recorded during the previous elections. 

The secretary, noted that all the mater9woll be moved to the local government headquarters for onward distribution to wards and polling units levels. 

According to him,the commission received all the sensitive materials required for the conduct of the election in the state. 

The INEC,administrative  secretary,assured residents of the state of the determination of the commission to free,fair and creditable conduct of the election in  the state. 

In his remarks the Secretary, Social Democratic party (SDP),Kwara State Chaper, Mr Oladipo Michael commended the INEC for ensuring transparency in the conduct of the exercise. 

Finally, He urged the commission to remain committed to the conduct of a free,fair and creditable election in the State.
