Isa Ajiji Celebrates Sallah with Constituents in Grand Style
The people of Jos East Constituency were hosted by their representative at the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Isa Madaki Ajiji, who is also the Deputy Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly. The event, which took place at White House, Kunyi Katse, brought together political leaders and their supporters, who gathered to wine and dine, chant solidarity songs, and display banners with various inscriptions, including “Isa is OK” and “Isa should continue 4+4”.
The Deputy Speaker stated that the event was not a political gathering, but rather a celebration of Sallah with his constituents. He noted that celebrating Sallah and Christmas together is a tradition in Jos East, and they plan to celebrate Easter in the same manner.
Various groups, including youths and women from Federe and Fursum Districts, and Asharwa Dancers from Fobur, made presentations at the event.
In his speech, Hon. Gideon Nyako, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Jos East Local Government Area, praised Rt. Hon. Ajiji as an industrious and prudent leader who has set a pace in the locality.
Other dignitaries, including Senator Istifanus Gyang, Ambassador Christ Giwa, and Professor Danladi Abok Atu, also spoke at the event, commending Rt. Hon. Ajiji’s achievements and calling for unity and peaceful coexistence.
Food and drinks were distributed to attendees as part of the Eid-El-Fitr celebrations.
