IWD: Kogi Deputy Speaker emerges
YWIPF Patroness
Following her numerous contributions on the political space of the State and Nigeria in general, the Deputy Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Comfort Nwochola has emerged as the Patroness of Young Women in Politics Forum, (YWIPF) Kogi State Chapter.
Her emergence is coming at a time when the world celebrated the 2024 international Women’s Day with the campaign theme “inspire inclusion”.
Speaking during a congratulatory visit to the first female Deputy Speaker in Kogi State, the Coordinator of YWIPF Barr. Comfort Nwochola commended her for breaking the glass ceiling and emerging as a beacon of hope to other women and the younger generation.
Akinola noted that the organisation is delighted to celebrate this milestone for Kogi women in the history of the Kogi State Legislature.
The young legal practitioner promised to support the Deputy Speaker as she performs her duty to the betterment of the plight of Kogi women and the state at large.
Responding, the Kogi State Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Comfort Nwochola advised Women to remain committed to improving themselves and seek opportunities to contribute their quota to the development of the state and the nation at large.
Rt Hon. Nwochola promised to collaborate with the organization in mentoring young Women to participate actively in politics.
