Izere Language is Unique: Speak it to your Children,Elder Agwom Inyam Charge Izere Women.

Elder Agwom Inyam Isha,is the Chairman of the Izere Elders Forum,the body that Comprised of respected Elders of integrity who have served in various fields of human endeavors and contributed their quota.

The Elder statement issued the admonition during the annual Izere Women Day Celebration and freewill donation for the completion of their Secretariat.

The Revered Elder,Challenge all the women to make sure they speak Izere to their Children and always name them with the native names as well as pet names.

According to him,pet names are significant and promote peace and tranquility,pet names in Izere such as,Azei,Ashi,Akar,Ezhek,Izung,Ayom etc were use for comfort and persuasions,even if someone is furious to the extend of engaging in physical confrontation and once you ” said Azhei for instance leave that,he will calm down and jettison or shelve his plan.

The Elder further caution those that are not inculcating Izere values and culture in their children to stop forthwith. The best legacy parents can bequeath on the Younger generations is good morals,sound education and our Culture.

The event attracted creams of the Society such as the members of the National and state Assembly,Commissioners,Local Government Chairmen, Traditional rulers, Business tycoons among others,all donated for the Continuation and completion of the Project.

Engineer Yakubu Ashoms and Engineer Azi Itse, ACCDA President and AYM respectively,also grace the event and made their separate donations.

Earlier,in her address of Welcome,the National President of the Afizere Cultural and Community Development Association ( ACCDA), Women Wing,Ango Anap Madaki expresses her appreciation to God Almighty and all the dignitaries that attends the event,she appeal to all and sundry to donate freely and willingly for the completion of the Secretariat that will also serves as a skill acquisition centre.

Highlights of the occasion was the exhibition of the “Izhak that’s circumcision rites by Maigemu District of Jos East Local Government Area, Amata Dance from Shere District, Asharwa dance and Amata from Gwash and Gyese/Tudun Wada of Jos North Local Government Area among others.

Presentation of an awards of excellence and recognition to the Wives of Agbang Agwom Izere,Her Majesty,Anap Isaac Wakili, Deaconess Esther Ajik,the Wife of Ada Emmanuel Ajik, Adagwom Jos Izere Chiefdom.
