Jumabee Set to Receive Special Recognition Award

The Special Adviser to the Kogi State Governor on Arts and Culture, Hon. Juwon Olorunnipa, popularly known as Jumabee, is slated to receive a Special Recognition Award as Music Icon of the Year by Democracy Newsline Newspaper.
This honor acknowledges his outstanding contributions to the creative arts industry, particularly in promoting Kogi State’s culture through his music, which has garnered global recognition.

According to a press statement signed by the Executive Editor, Elder Olalekan Aiyenigba and made available to newsmen in Lokoja, said Jumabee’s consistency in showcasing his talent and promoting the state’s culture has been notable, especially through his annual birthday programs featuring prominent musicians in Lokoja.
This event has not only highlighted his musical prowess but also provided a platform for other artists to shine.
The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on August 26, 2025, at the Banquet Hall, National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja by 5pm.
The event will include a Red Carpet Ceremony, main event, and dinner program, with the theme “The Role of Independent Media Organizations in Promoting Participatory Democracy and Good Governance in Nigeria.”
Additionally, the occasion will mark the launch of a ₦100 million fund for podcast studio equipment and the establishment of Democracy Newsline Newspaper Online Television, aimed at promoting democracy and good governance in Nigeria.
