JUTH CMD: Inspired Boy’s brigade In Jos.

The Body’s Brigade,Jos North East Battalion,were encouraged to sustained training of Junior officers in line with the aims and objectives of the Boy’s brigade Nigeria,which is to raise Godly Generation that will show examples and shine the light every where they go.
This was the message of Dr. Pokop Bupwatda,the Chief Medical Director,of Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), He, was addressing the Officers, Chaplains,Patrons and the entire audience as the review officer for the Colour Trooping of the Battalion,at the COCIN Church,LCC Shere Hills.

Bupwatda, recalled when he was in Boy’s brigade,in those days and according to him,I was one of the buglers , Boy’s brigade is one of the things that shaped my life to what I’m today.
We used to attend International Camps at Shere Hills and Jarawan Kogi.
When I see Boy’s brigade,it gives me joy and nostalgia of those days and camps like this teaches you principles of the words of God.
It is through the discipline i got from the Boy’s brigade, helps me when I was in NYSC Camp,I was appointed as Quarter Guard Commander.
What you’re learning now,you don’t know where it will take you tomorrow.
As a result of it,some have become Military Generals and they all started from the Boy’s brigade.
But for me,I have not gone to the military,but the Lord deemed it fit to take me to the field of medicine and today by his grace,I’m the Chief Medical Director,of Jos University Teaching Hospital and is not that I’m the most qualified,but by his grace.
The CMD, Challenge the Officers to trust God to be their anchor.
Put into practice what you have learnt,apply them into your daily lives so that God will help you, bless and keep you.
He prays to God,to bless the officers for their time and energy, they took to trained the junior officers and that,their labour will not be in vain because it is an investment in the future of the younger ones.
The Boy’s brigade,Plateau State have since nominated him as one of their Patrons and the investiture will take place on the 13th of September,2026.
Highlights of the event was the Presentation of certificates to the Chaplains for their respective Companies and drill by the Boy’s brigade and good will messages came from the officers from the State level and other battalions.
