Kabba APC Leaders Call for Peace and Unity During Solidarity Visit to Senator Karimi
Leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kabba have called for greater peace and unity within the party, saying internal cohesion is critical to sustaining the gains of the administration and securing victory in 2027.
The delegation, led by Elder Benjamin Olowodola, paid a solidarity visit to the Senator representing Kogi West, Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, on Wednesday at the National Assembly.
Speaking during the visit, the leaders said the purpose of the meeting was to reaffirm their loyalty to the party and to Senator Karimi’s leadership in the senatorial district.
“We are here to call for peace and unity within the APC family in Kabba and across Kogi West,” one of the leaders stated. “Division will only weaken us. Our strength lies in our ability to speak with one voice and work together for the progress of our people.”
They commended Senator Karimi for his accessible representation, quality constituency projects, youth and women empowerment programmes, and his commitment to the development of the district.
The stakeholders also pledged their support for the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, stressing that the party must remain focused on delivering democratic dividends to the people.
In his response, Senator Karimi thanked the delegation for the visit and urged party members to shun divisive tendencies. He said unity, discipline, and grassroots mobilization would be key to the APC’s continued success in Kogi West and the state at large.
“We must put the interest of the party and our people above personal differences,” Karimi said. “With peace, understanding, and hard work, we will continue to move Kogi West forward.”
According to him, he will continue to provide qualitative representation for the district. He reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining student scholarships, women cooperative societies, empowerment programmes, employment opportunities, and to redeeming the N30 million outstanding pledge made during the 2025 Kabba Cultural Festival Day.
He admonished the people of Kogi West to continue to support the party, noting that it remains the best opportunity to consolidate on the gains of President Tinubu’s administration reforms.
