Kabba-Bunu and Ijumu SSAs Unite, Declare Total Support for Arch Salman Idris’ Second Term Bid
In a strong show of unity and political solidarity, Special Senior Assistants (SSAs) from Kabba-Bunu and Ijumu Local Government Areas—two key councils that make up the Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency of Kogi State—have merged into a formidable front to support the second term bid of Salman Idris, popularly known as TiwanTiwa.
The coalition, led by its chairman, Hon. Chief Shuaib Ipinmisho, made the declaration during a strategic meeting of stakeholders, where members reaffirmed their collective commitment to ensuring the re-election of the lawmaker representing the constituency in the House of Representatives.
Speaking on behalf of the SSAs, Hon. Ipinmisho emphasized that the political collaboration between the people of Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area and Ijumu Local Government Area has long been rooted in mutual respect, unity, and shared political aspirations.
According to him, the enduring spirit of brotherhood between the two local governments has continued to strengthen their political relevance within Kogi State and has often been admired—and envied—by other constituencies across the state.
“The relationship between Kabba-Bunu and Ijumu has always been one of brotherhood, especially in politics. Our unity has remained a shining example, and it is this same spirit that has brought us together again to support our son, Hon. Arch Salman Idris,” Ipinmisho stated.
He noted that the decision by the SSAs to merge their structures was deliberate and strategic, aimed at consolidating grassroots mobilization and ensuring overwhelming support for the lawmaker’s second term ambition.
Ipinmisho therefore called on political stakeholders, community leaders, youth groups, and party faithful across the constituency to rally behind Hon. Arch Salman Idris, stressing that continuity in leadership would further consolidate the developmental strides already being recorded.
“Our message is simple: this is the time for unity and collective action. We urge everyone across Kabba-Bunu and Ijumu to stand firmly behind Hon. Arch Salman Idris for a second term so that the good work he has started can continue,” he added.
The meeting concluded with a unanimous pledge by members of the SSA coalition to intensify grassroots engagement, mobilize support across wards and communities, and ensure that the constituency remains firmly united behind TiwanTiwa’s re-election bid.
The meeting held at the Solid Rock Hotel in Kabba was attended by several eminent Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) from the constituency. Notable among them were Chief Shuaib Ipinmisho, Chairman of the Forum and SSA on Land Matters; Chief Funsho O. Emmanuel, former Chairman of Kabba/Bunu LGA and SSA on Social Media Matters; Hon. Oyewole M. Solomon, the newly elected APC Chairman of Ijumu LGA; and Hon. Isreal Alonge, former Chairman of the Kogi State Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN).
Others in attendance included Hon. Job Ologe, Hon. Yusuf Tajudeen, Hon. Fidelis Bello, Hon. Alex Ibikunle, Hon. Egbebi Kayode, Owoyemi Williams, Gbenga Oshoke, Yusuf Sunday, Bose Olupeka, Obaditon Hameed, Moses Ogunnibi, and a host of other stakeholders from the constituency.
