Kabba/Bunu APC Women Leaders Pay Courtesy Visit To LG Chairman, Urge Greater Support For Women

The Executive Chairman of Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael on Sunday played host to a forum of APC women leaders across all the 15 wards in Kabba/Bunu LGA ably led by the overall Woman leader and her deputy.
According to the chairman, he reaffirmed the critical role of women in promoting peace and unity at the grassroots level, describing them as “the backbone of the party” and torchbearers of renewed hope” in the ward.
Zacchaeus made the call on Sunday in Kabba while hosting a forum of APC women leaders to congratulate them on their election at the congress.
The leader of the forum of APC women leaders, Mrs Bidemi Olowosegun highlighted the importance of the meeting, saying that they came to thank the chairman for his unwavering commitment to party unity and progress and to appreciate his support they all received from him during the last congress.
She assured the chairman of their total support, loyalty and commitment to party unity and progress across all the wards.
In his response, the chairman said that when women are empowered with education, skills and leadership opportunities, the benefits extend beyond the individual to families, communities and the nation.
“Every act of support, no matter how small, creates changes that reach far beyond what we see today,” he said.
He advised the forum to be upright in their dealings and ensure the interest of the party is their topmost priority at all times, noting that Anti-party affairs will not be tolerated from anyone.
Zacchaeus described the visit as a clarion call for women’s integration and participation, reiterating his administration commitment to play an active role in advancing gender equality.
Zacchaeus explained that giving support and encouragement to women helps build resilient communities. He said that empowering women remained her priority, adding that “the rise of a woman translates to the rise of a community”.
