“Words Have Power to Create or Destroy” – Deaconess Comfort Ayodele Launches Book on Taming the Tongue.
The mother of the Publisher, The Projector Newspaper, Gideon Ayodele, Deaconess Comfort Folake Ayodele, at the weekend celebrated her 85th birthday.
The birthday celebration also witnessed the lunch of a book, Taming the Tongue, emphasized the importance of speaking the truth, love, self-control in communication, saying words have immense power to create or destroy.
She made the call at her 85th birthday celebration and book launch titled: “Taming the Tongue: Biblical Insights on the Power of Words” held at the Apostolic Church, New layout Lokoja.

The author described her book as a solid resource for anyone seeking to honor God with their words, adding that communication in marriage builds intimacy and resolves conflict.
She said she was inspired by God to write the book, highlighting the tongue’s critical role in building healthy relationships.
Abu Micheal, Journalist and Public Affairs Analyst, reviewed the book, saying it’s a thorough exploration of the tongue’s power, digging deep into Scripture for guidance on speech. He praised the author’s engaging writing style, making biblical concepts accessible.
Pastor (Dr) O.M. Osunde emphasized the importance of self-control and prayers, truth in love, urging the use of words to build others up.
Elder Oladipo Ayodele, son of Deaconess Comfort expressed gratitude for his mother’s impact, saying the book spans 15 years of applying biblical principles to everyday speech.
Sen. Sunday Karimi congratulated Deaconess Comfort, describing “Taming the Tongue” as a lifelong journey requiring dependence on God. He urged for speech that glorifies God and builds others up with humility and reliance on the Holy Spirit.
Hon. Erick Fiki also congratulated Deaconess Comfort on her 85th birthday, praising her achievement.
Highlights of the event was the cutting of the 85 birthday cake and testimonies by several people who were in attendance, described Deaconess Comfort as a wonderful personality and a complete mother.
