Kano, Nigeria — The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, has lauded the Director General of the National Productivity Center (NPC), Dr. Baffa Babba Dan Agundi, for his unwavering commitment to grassroots empowerment and consistent support to APC members across the state.
Speaking during a press briefing held at the APC Secretariat in Kano, Alhaji Abbas praised Dr. Dan Agundi’s monthly empowerment initiatives, which he described as “a beacon of hope and productivity” for the youth and rural communities in Kano. He emphasized that such efforts are not only bolstering individual livelihoods but also reinforcing the strength of the party at the grassroots level.
“Dr. Baffa Babba Dan Agundi has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to our party and our people,” Abbas said. “Through his empowerment programs, including the distribution of tricycles (Adaidaita Sahu), motorcycles, financial support, and various productivity tools, he is enabling our youths to become self-reliant and productive citizens.”
The APC Chairman particularly highlighted Dan Agundi’s role in youth development, noting that the empowerment materials provided have been a lifeline for many unemployed youths seeking opportunities for self-employment.
“We are very happy with these materials – the three-cycle machines, motorcycles, money, and other youth development tools – that you are providing,” Abbas remarked. “These gestures are critical to the development of our youth and the sustainability of our communities.”
Beyond youth empowerment, Abbas also commended the Director General’s efforts in supporting the agricultural sector. He revealed that over 1,000 farmers across the state have benefited from the recent distribution of fertilizers, a move that is already having a positive impact on food production and rural livelihoods.
“This fertilizer support is helping farmers improve their yields and sustain their livelihoods,” Abbas said. “Dr. Dan Agundi’s efforts are a model of how government officials should use their positions to directly impact the lives of the people.”
Calling on other APC members in positions of influence, Abbas urged them to emulate Dan Agundi’s example, stressing that such initiatives are vital as the party prepares for upcoming electoral challenges.
“We call on all our APC members in positions of power to emulate Dr. Baffa Babba Dan Agundi,” he urged. “Let us join hands to build a stronger, more prosperous Kano State, and ensure our victory in 2025 and beyond.”
The Kano APC Chairman concluded by reaffirming the party’s appreciation and support for Dr. Dan Agundi’s leadership, describing him as a true son of the soil whose actions continue to uplift communities and promote party ideals.
“His contributions reflect the values of the APC – service, development, and integrity. We are proud to have him among us,” Abbas declared.
